We stumbled upon several dead, floating fish at Punchbowl.  What is causing this?

Welcome to the Forum Nolenw.

I don't know but I'm not surprised either. The first and last time the family and I fished there about 7 years ago we were disgusted because the apparent lack of care. When I asked about it back then, I was told that the environmentalist wouldn't allow it.

I forwarded your question to VAFB Fish and Game.

I just returned from Punchbowl Lake and it appears there is 100% death of all fish. I met with one of the game wardens and some base biologist while there. It's a devastating sight to see approximately 1,000 dead fish. I'm writing an article about this and will post it soon with several pictures I took.
